5/8" Lights
The most popular size for use in vintage hot rod dashboards is the 5/8" thread lens (requires a 9/16" mounting hole). They were made in a wide range of color and style, from clear lucite with a faceted finish to frosted glass in a multitude of colors.
There are two main holders used for this size, an open-style typically found on the back of panels, and a barrel-shaped holder used for over fifty years in hot rod dashes. They are interchangeable in regards to bulb and wiring ease, a perfect choice for that period-look for your 1932 Ford or 1952 Allard racer.
